Ah...t-ball!

After 3 long and hilarious practices, Jacob had his first real-live t-ball game tonight. And what a game it was! His team, the Little Red Rascals (very fitting, if I do say) played an all-girl team that wore pink tye dye shirts. The Rascals are a co-ed group of 3 and 4 year-olds in the same preschool class; the pink team was made up of 4 and 5 year-olds from 3 different schools. They were all about a foot taller than any of our kids, and much more knowledgeable about the game. When I say knowledgeable, though, what I mean is that they seemed to know to stand up instead of sit down when in the outfield, wear their gloves on their hands instead of their heads, and use their hands instead of their feet when the ball came near them. Jacob did great, though; probably the second-best hitter on his team, and he rounded all the bases twice. His favorite parts of the game were the fact that the number 12 (his fave) was on the back of his shirt and that he got pink lemonade at the end of the game. Very hilarious. Check out the next post for proof!
