Every year, we go to our friends' castle/mansion/house for the country club's Annual 4th of July Parade. It's always fun: a big brunch, kids, (other people's) dogs, and adult beverages. There's a huge parade, and everyone decorates their bikes, golf carts, animals, etc. and walks the route, which starts in front of our friends' house. Jacob's usually content to sit on the lawn, wave, and collect about 4 pounds of candy, but this year we decorated his bike and he rode in the parade. Then we went home and took naps - seriously, a perfect day.

The 4th
