Soccer Starts

Jacob's first soccer game was today. Apparently, soccer folk are fairly adventurous when it comes to playing in "weather" and we endured our first hour-long game in the pouring RAIN. But it was pretty fun. The concept of soccer is much easier to process than that of our only other organized-sport experience, t-ball, because it's just running and kicking. Which coincidentally happens to be two of the things that Jacob loves, and the plus-side to soccer is that the running and kicking happen on a field outside instead of my living room. So a lot less damage occurs. Anyway, the name of his team is the Super Heroes, and it's made up of 8 of his little school buddies. I'm pretty sure we lost, but it was hard to tell, as both teams scored for and against themselves. The most common phrases heard were, "Wrong way!" and "Other Way!" Kind of like being a passenger in my dad's car, but without the word "jackass."
