The Honeymoon's Not Over!

I am just now reading Monday's sports page, and they had a big story on intra-mural marriages (being OU and Texas). Some of the reader-input stories were hilarious. Here are my favorites:

"I married a Longhorn - or as she likes to say, I married up. Every year, we dress our kids in OU and Texas gear for pics to show off to all our friends that we see at the fair. I have to say...when the kids are in the OU outfits, they generally look more confident and happy. Anyway, my wife and I are best friends 51 weeks out of the year, and one of us always leaves the State Fair of Texas very happy."

"I love my wife, but I've been a Sooner fan longer than I've been married. And every year, come the second Saturday in October, I hope the Sooners crush the Longhorns even if it makes my beautiful bride cry."

I also personally have a good girlfriend who has a 2- and 4-year old and is 9 months pregnant, and she has scheduled her C-section for tomorrow (Friday). Her reasoning? She and her husband knew they'd be able to watch Saturday's game from a tv in a comfortable hospital room with no distractions (being their other 2 kids). All I can really say is, "Go Sooners!"
