The Mouths of Babes

Jacob's got it all figured out these days. At four (almost 5!), he is very articulate and loves to share his views on the world. For instance:

• His friend's mom is prettier than I am;
• He wants to grow up to be a banker so that he can "give lollipops and eat some of them, too" (because that, of course, is what a banker does);
• When he grows up to be a Mommy (?), he's going to be the boss, not me;
• His make-believe sister, Wallese (apparently birthed by his African-American mother), does have purple hair and red eyes;
• He's going to drive a brown convertible van with a t.v. in it;
• He's going to live next door to me when he's older, so that I can "watch the kids" while he "plays toys."
