Rascals v. Gargantuans

Last night, before all the tornado sirens and thunder and wind (more on that later), we had our second t-ball game. Against giants. These kids were all 6, with a few 5-year olds thrown in for good measure, and it was like a pro game. They actually knew how to play, and so tagged out all of our kids, but the ref was nice and let the Rascals run the bases anyway. God bless him.

It also proved to be an injury-riddled game for the kids, but since Jacob still has no grasp of the term "infielding," he managed to stay out of the way of danger. Until he got home and ran into a doorknob. And then he went to bed on his beloved nap mat, wearing his baseball hat under his red earmuffs, and slept happily ever after...

Tricked! It appears at first that Jacob will run to the ball, but it's a no-go...

Do I run to the pitcher's mound? No? Okay, first it is...
