Yesterday a suspicious looking envelope came in the mail for Mark from the OK County Clerk, and since I didn't want to ruin my Friday by finding out Mark had a warrant out for his arrest or something, I opened it. Jury Duty! Mark's never had Jury Duty before, and I feel bad for him. Before I had it, I used to hope and pray that they would summons me, because I thought it would be so exciting. Then, when I was called, I hoped and prayed that it would be something interesting, like a murder trial. So what's that saying, "Be careful what you wish for?" I ended up getting a murder trial, and it involved teenagers, and It. Was. Awful. Plus, when it was over and I went out to my brand new, week-old car in the parking garage, some jackass had forgot to put his parking brake up and his car had let loose and rear-ended mine, causing major damage and a major hold-up in the garage. Suckville. Anyway, we're holding out for some kind of traffic violation trial for Mark. He reports on the 25th, so I'll let you know!
On another note, today's forecast is 105, and - lucky us - one of our air conditioners went out in the middle of the night. The fun never ends here...
