Went to Jacob's Valentine's Party at school today. I was about 10 minutes late, but my sweet son just looked at me, gave me a big hug and said, "Mommy, I'm in love with you! I'm so glad you came!" I could have eaten him up right then and there, he was so sweet. Now let's fast forward to about 10 minutes ago: we went through all his Valentines and candy, and I let him eat a couple of the chocolates. There was one package of Gummy Rings (Jacob hates any kind of gummy item) and I asked if I could have it. He told me no; I would have to wait for my own Valentine's Party. Now I could eat him up for a different reason.

Bitter and Sweet
