"Super Cells!"

I actually tried to post yesterday but, as our local weathermen would put it, we had "Severe Weather" and the electricity kept having fits.

I'm not really sure what to think of tornadoes in February - they usually wait until May - but they suck in any case. And my biggest fear isn't even of a tornado hitting our house; it's more that I'm terrified of the thought of spending time with a 4 year-old and Cain and Abel (Sugar and Gracie, respectively) in a coat closet. But in all reality, Sugar might not even live that long, based on her diet of Hot Wheels, crayons and rocks. I'm actually amazed that her digestive tract has been so accommodating thus far.

Anyhow, yesterday was a bit of a headache. Jacob's school lets out at 2:15, which I normally curse about, but had it been later, he would've joined the rest of the metro area schools on lock-down, and then they probably would have had to medicate the teachers, which would have led to another tuition increase. So really it all worked out on our behalf. We came home and watched the news, but they stupidly chose to show pictures of the Chuck E. Cheese (up the road from us) that had its walls blown off, and it took me a while to convince my very upset little boy that they would probably rebuild. I also found myself worrying about the teenager down the street, who was scheduled to come babysit at 6:15 so that Mark and I could celebrate our 8-year (?!) anniversary, but that hadn't been released from above-mentioned lock-down at 5:30. That, too, panned out and she made it here just in time for us to make our reservations. Later, while I took her home, Mark checked on Jacob and found him asleep with his red earmuffs in hand. Sweet baby Jacob. Still a weirdo.
