It's the Little Things That Count

Dear Jacob,
The Little Red Rascals did great tonight; you should be proud of yourselves. It's amazing what a difference one year makes. Some of the more notable things I saw were:
  • your attention spans lasted longer than 10 minutes;
  • your discovery of the great gravel containers that your hats and gloves make;
  • the little girls in your class who are enrolled in cheerleading really know some interesting moves (and words);
  • the whole Dog Pile thing seems to have worked itself out; and
  • there were NO TEARS.
Seriously, though, you have quite an arm and did a great job hitting and running the bases. And you're bigger now, so the batting helmet actually kind of stays on while you're running. Like I said, I'm very proud. I'm also proud of your dad, "Coach" Mark. He didn't have to ask anyone to stop laying on the ground, tell players that they were running the wrong way, and (as far as I know), only had to listen to one child discuss the taste of their glove. Nice game, Team Moad!
